Holding a date
Booking online holds a crew and truck for your date. The office confirms the details by text. Once the move is confirmed, a deposit is collected before we proceed. Until the deposit is received, the hold is provisional.
Deposits and cancellation
The deposit is $100 for a job quoted under $1,000, or 10% of the quote for anything larger. It is collected once the office has confirmed your move, and it comes off your final bill.
If you cancel after paying the deposit, the deposit is not refunded. It pays for the crew and truck that were held for your date and turned away from other work. Changing your date is not a cancellation: tell us as early as you can and we move the deposit to the new date if we have it open. Changes before the move is confirmed are free.
Overnight storage
If your new place is not ready, we can keep your load overnight at $50 a day. We do not offer long-term storage.
Pricing
Local moves are billed hourly from arrival at the pickup address to completion at the delivery address, with a 2-hour minimum, at the rate published on the pricing page at the time of booking. Long-distance moves are a flat price for the route and home size as booked, or the fixed price issued from your video walkthrough. HST is additional. Changes to the load, addresses or access after the price is issued may change the price; we'll tell you before the move.
What we need from you
Accurate addresses and access details, parking for a 15 ft truck at both ends, elevator bookings where the building requires them, appliances disconnected, and nothing on the list of things we don't move.
Liability for your belongings
How we protect your belongings and the damage process are on the your belongings page and the claims page, which form part of these terms. Report damage within 48 hours of delivery.
Payment
The balance is invoiced at completion and due on receipt, by card, e-transfer or cash.
