Plenty of movers won't quote a job this size, or they bury it under a four-hour minimum. We like small moves. They fit between bigger jobs, which is why we can often do them on short notice. You get the same two movers, the same truck, blankets and straps as a full house move.

A small move is usually a single piece of furniture, a few big items, one room, a student's room, or a storage unit. If you already have a truck or a van and only need the lifting done, book helpers on their own and pay by the hour with no truck charge.
